Well done Year 6 children!

Year 6 children: we are very proud of you. You have worked hard all year so I am thrilled with your SATs results. Across the school it looks like our best year ever. However, what really pleased us was seeing all the individual success stories. The highest numbers of Year 6 children ever have achieved the Greater Depth Standard (GDS). There are several Year 6 children who have not always found learning in mathematics or English easy but they have all made great progress and achieved well.

The Year 6 children have had a fantastic attitude to learning this year. Teachers and teaching assistants have given them terrific support, emotionally, socially and through great lessons every day. Many Year 6 children have been with us for seven years whilst others came to Marus Bridge more recently. A lot of people have contributed to their success and I want to thank all the people who have taught or otherwise supported our class of 2018.

Well done, Year 6 children, staff and parents: it has been a great team effort and we wish all the children well in their ongoing learning journey.
