Christmas Jumper Day

This year, Christmas Jumper Day is on Friday 15th December (the same day as our Christmas lunch), and we shall be, again, supporting The Brick. Children are invited to come to school wearing their favourite Christmas jumper and also bringing an item to support the homeless people of Wigan.

Items needed are gloves, hats, socks (mens, womens, childrens)

toiletries e.g deoderant, soap, toothpaste, shampoo

non-perishable food items e.g tins, packets, dried foods.

maybe a small gift of chocolate or biscuits.

The year 6 children in Mrs Carver’s class are organising this event as part of their Bridge Builder target for charitable actions. We have always had a massive response to this event and are hoping that this year will be no exception! I am sure you will agree that we should all look after each other especially in our local community and there is never a more appropriate time than Christmas. So when you go shopping please be kind enough to drop one extra item into your basket for that someone who may be facing the winter without a home or someone to share their Christmas with.

Many thanks for your support.
